The school is located in the famous Times Square, a stone's throw from the world-famous Broadway Theatre. The 33-story skyscraper with the globe and clock at the top, which houses the school, is a monument to Paramount Pictures. Within walking distance of the school are 5th Avenue, the Empire State Building, and New York Central Station.
New York City is one of the most vibrant cities in the United States. Whether it's the high-rise shopping malls and dozens of museums, the hip-hop parties of the Bronx or the performances of the Metropolitan Opera House, old buildings in the Dutch style, or shining facades of mirrored skyscrapers, the list is endless. The list goes on and on.
EC New York offers state-of-the-art facilities. The school caters to students aged 16 years and over and also caters to students aged 30 years and over - people with some life experience who are like-minded people of their age. The center is equipped with comfortable study rooms and computer labs. Students have free wireless internet access throughout the center. There is a cafeteria for relaxing and refreshments. There are international groups with a maximum capacity of 15 students. Language programs can be combined with dance lessons. Additionally, you can take advantage of the student counseling service, which is free for students attending classes for more than 24 weeks. The student will be given information about the application process to any North American institution.
Students can also use EC Online, a personal study assistant that allows them to keep track of their progress. Through EC Online, students can take a test to determine their starting level, track their progress, access online materials and interact with teachers after school hours. The school uses a highly regarded Net Promoter Score (NPS) system to continually receive feedback from its students and improve its level of service.
Students can choose between residence or host families in twin or single rooms. The accommodation varies from 15 minutes walk to 1 hour by public transport. Meals are not included in the price for students living in residence. If homestay accommodation is provided, students eat breakfast or breakfast and dinner.
There are free workshops and activities at the school. Free workshops include conversation and grammar practice. Free activities may include city walks, picnics, and dancing lessons in Bryant Park.
The program can be enhanced with trips to Coney Island, a climb to the rooftop of Rockefeller Center, and a visit to the New York nightlife scene. Students can also take fun excursions to Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Niagara Falls.

If you are looking to develop fluency, target core skills, and truly experience your destination through its language, this dynamic course is your gateway to the practical use of English.
This Special Focus Programme combines 20 lessons of General English with 10 lessons focused on language study inspired by your destination, for a complete intensive experience that is tailored to you and your personal reasons for learning.
Spend one lesson each week outside of the classroom with classmates, learning English and getting to know the local area.
